Kawhi Leonard Sues Nike Over Logo

(Los Angeles, CA)  --  Beaverton-based Nike is facing a lawsuit from Toronto Raptors forward Kawhi Leonard, who says the shoe company is illegally claiming ownership of a logo he designed.  The logo is an outline of Leonard's hand along with his initials and the number two.  The lawsuit filed Monday in federal court says it's an extension of logos Leonard has been drawing since his college days.  The player argues that he used to have a deal with Nike and he gave the company permission to use it on some Nike products while keeping the rights to use it on other brands.  He now has a deal with New Balance and says Nike is objecting to his use of the logo.
