(Seattle, WA)  --  Mallex Smith and Edwin Encarnacion homered in the third inning, but the Mariners lost 4-2 to the Astros in Seattle.  Opener Cory Gearrin permitted three runs in the first inning to absorb the loss.  Wade LeBlanc limited Houston to three hits and one run over the final eight innings.  The Mariners have lost six of seven.  The series continues tonight at T-Mobile Park.
