(Arlington, TX)  --  The Mariners were active at the trade deadline.  Seattle dealt relievers Roenis Elias and Hunter Strickland to the Washington Nationals in exchange for minor league pitchers Elvis Alvarado, Taylor Gulibeau and Aaron Fletcher.  The Mariners sent starting pitcher Mike Leake and cash to the Diamondbacks in return for minor league infielder Jose Caballero.
