Martinez Throws Out First Pitch, Will Have Statue Built at Stadium

(Seattle, WA)  --  Freshly-minted Hall of Famer Edgar Martinez threw out the first pitch before the game.  On Saturday, Mariners CEO John Stanton announced the club will unveil a statue of the longtime designated hitter at T-Mobile Park.  The seven-time All-Star had a .312 batting average and a .418 on base percentage in 18 years in Seattle.  He was the seventh M inducted into Cooperstown.
