(Undated)  --  A recent petition filed with the National Labor Relations Board is seeking to create a separate union for NFL running backs.  The International Brotherhood of Processional Running Backs cites shortened careers as it's primary issue to address.  The average career for a running back is 2.57 years, the shortest for any position.  Further, the average salary through 2018 was 1.291 million dollars, which ranks below every position but long snapper.
