High School football kicked off Friday night with Beaverton outscoring Summit, 36-25, Barlow thumped Bend,34-8, and Mt. View lost at Roseburg, 33-30. 

Elsewhere, Redmond smashed St. Helens, 44-7, Crook County stopped Ridgeview, 39-15. Burns got by Sisters, 24-6. Madras blanked Mac-High, 16-0. Culver blew out Illinois Valley, 39-zip, and La Pine beat Douglas, 
42-22.
