(Kansas City, KS)  --  With the tie, the Timbers moved into sixth place by themselves in the Western Conference.  They have 46 points through 33 matches.  However, they're not out of danger.  The Tims will host San Jose in the final week of the season next Sunday at Providence Park.  FC Dallas is a point behind Portland for the seventh and final playoff spot, while the Earthquakes are just two back.  If the Quakes win and FC Dallas draw or win, the Timbers would be on the outside looking in of the playoffs.
