(Kansas City, KS)  --  The Timbers salvaged a 2-2 draw after Sporting Kansas City went down to nine men Sunday in Kansas.  Dairon Asprilla put away an 85th minute penalty kick after EIlie Sánchez was sent off a minute before for denying a clear goal-scoring opportunity.  Sebastian Blanco scored in the 29th minute to give the Tims the early lead.  Brian Fernandez was sent off in the 36th minute in a tie game before Roger Espinoza was sent off in the 38th for Sporting.
