(Paris) -- An American soccer star is being named the women's best player in the world. Megan Rapinoe [[ ruh-pee-NO ]] took home the 2019 women's Ballon d'Or trophy during a ceremony Monday in Paris. The 34-year-old also beat out her teammate Alex Morgan for the prestigious award. Rapinoe helped guide the Americans to another World Cup victory this summer, scoring six goals and being the tournament's top player.
