(Los Angeles, CA)  --  In an interview that aired on ESPN Tuesday, Carmelo Anthony told Rachel Nichols that if the Portland Trail Blazers hadn't called and offered him a spot, he was prepared to walk away from the NBA.  "I had prepared myself to kinda just walk away from the game -- if the right situation didn't come about," he said.  Anthony was named the Western Conference Player of the Week on Monday and is averaging 17.7 points a game since joining the team Nov. 19.
