(Portland, OR)  --  The Thorns took Stanford standout Sophia Smith with the number one overall pick in the NWSL draft Thursday.  The 19-year-old will be joined by Washington State forward Morgan Weaver, who was selected number two overall.  Portland also acquired defender Christen Westphal from Reign FC in exchange for a fourth round pick, the 34th overall.
