(Portland, OR)  --  The Timbers will be in action tonight when they face the Minnesota United in a preseason friendly at Providence Park.  Portland is coming off a 2-1 win over Cascadia Cup rival Vancouver on Sunday. Diego Valeri racked up a goal and an assist in the win.  The Timbers will open MLS play on March 1 at Minnesota.
