(Portland, OR)  --  Diego Valeri scored on a slicing ball in the 12th minute as the Timbers beat Nashville SC 1-nil at Providence Park.  It was Valeri's second goal of the season.  At 1-and-1 this season, Portland will visit New England on Sunday.
