Major Sports Leagues Closing Locker Room Access Over Coronavirus Concerns

(Miami, FL)  --  Some of North America's major pro sports leagues are closing access to locker rooms and clubhouses to all non-essential personnel.  The NBA, NHL, MLB and MLS issued a joint statement Monday night in response to the coronavirus outbreak.  They say the decision was made after consulting infectious disease and public health experts.  Media interviews will be restricted to designated areas outside of the locker room and clubhouse.  The changes are temporary, but will go into effect on Tuesday.  Some NHL clubs already started the practice over the weekend.
