(Undated) -- The NHL could be looking to hold its entry-level draft before the current season resumes. According to TSN, the league said in a memo that it would need a month to get ready for a virtual draft, meaning the earliest it could occur is in early June. The memo reportedly states the benefits of an early draft. There are however questions and concerns regarding the status of draft picks and draft order that are tied to a season that has not yet been finished. The league is currently on pause amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
