Mariners Slashing Staff Salaries To Avoid Layoffs

(Seattle, WA)  --  The Mariners are reducing salaries in an effort to avoid layoffs and furloughs.  According to The Athletic, the team will implement a 20-percent pay cut for baseball operations and field staff that make 60-thousand dollars or more beginning June 1st.  The pay reduction is expected to run through the end of October.
