In a statement, the conference said its GEO Group made a unanimous decision after consultation with athletic directors and medical experts. When safety conditions improve, the league will consider a return to competition after January 1st. Impacted student-athletes will have their scholarships guaranteed. In addition, the Pac-12 encourages the NCAA to grant an extra year of eligibility to students who opt out.
