(San Diego, CA)  --  Dinelson Lamet outpitched Clayton Kershaw as the Padres pounded the Dodgers 7-2 in San Diego.  The Friars are one-and-a-half games behind L.A. for first in the NL West.  Kershaw struck out nine but gave up three runs to take the loss.  Corey Seager plated a run in the third to give the Dodgers a brief 1-0 lead.  The series continues tonight in San Diego.
