Blazers' Hood Declines Option

(Portland, OR)  --  Trail Blazers forward Rodney Hood is declining his six-million-dollar player option and will instead become a free agent.  Hood tore his Achilles last December and did not play this past season, but would be able to start with a new team right away after a year of recovery time.  Robert Covington will replace him at forward.
