Timbers Top Houston Dynamo

(Portland, OR)  --  Cristhian Paredes giveth, and he taketh away.  Portland's 22-year-old midfielder allowed an own goal in the 28th minute to allow the Houston Dynamo to draw even at 1-1 on Saturday, but scored a blistering shot from just inside the 18-yard box in the 73rd minute to cement the win for the Timbers.  Dairon Aspirilla scored in the sixth minute for the first goal of the game for the Tims.  They're now 1-and-1 on the year with three points.  Portland will host Club America at Providence Park on Wednesday night in the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals.
