(Oakland, CA)  --  The Mariners beat the Athletics, 4-2, snapping their six-game losing streak in the opening contest of their three-game set in Oakland.  Kyle Lewis and Jarred Kelenic both homered, while Yusei Kikuchi threw six strong innings in the start to pick up the win before exiting with back cramps.  Logan Gilbert is set to start game two tonight.
