(Undated)  --  Carmelo Anthony is the first winner of the NBA's Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Social Justice Champion award.  The Trail Blazers forward was selected for his dedication to social justice and for advancing Abdul-Jabbar's goal of pursuing equality for people who have been historically marginalized.  Anthony also received one hundred thousand dollars to contribute to an organization on his behalf and donated that money to the Portland Art Museum's Black Arts and Experiences Initiative.
