(Undated)  --  The NHL is emulating professional soccer and the NBA when it comes to advertisements.  ESPN is reporting that NHL teams will have ad patches on the front of their jerseys starting in the 2022-23 season.  The ads be a 3-inch-by-3.5-inch rectangle on the jersey, which is slightly larger than the space on NBA uniforms for ads.  The NHL board of governors voted this month to approve the jersey advertisements.
