(Jersey City, NJ)  --  Justin Thomas and Jon Rahm fired matching 63s at the opening round of the Northern Trust at Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, New Jersey.  The duo both shot eight-under to lead by three strokes over Harold Varner the Third in the first FedEx playoff event of the season.  Adam Scott and Kevin Na lead a group four-strokes back at four-under.
