(Toronto, Canada)  --  Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera is 28th player in Major League Baseball history to hit 500 home runs.  Cabrera reached the milestone in the top of the sixth inning off of Blue Jays' pitcher Steven Matz in Toronto.  The 2012 Triple Crown winner is now 46 hits away from reaching the milestone of three-thousand hits.
