(Detroit, MI)  --  Matt Chapman mashed a pair of longballs as the Athletics beat the Tigers 9-3 in Detroit.  Chapman launched a two-run shot in the third, then followed it with a solo bomb in the ninth for Oakland, which has won three straight.  Josh Harrison and Mark Canha each added a pair of RBI in the victory.  Cole Irvin allowed three runs over four-and-two-thirds frames but took a no-decision.  Deolis Guerra got his third win in relief.  The A's continue the road series tonight.
