(Champaign, IL) -- The Fighting Illini men's basketball team will be without one of their top players to begin the season. The NCAA suspended center Kofi Cockburn [[ CO-burn ]] for the first three games of the season for selling apparel and memorabilia. Cockburn sold the items in June, less than a month before name, image, and likeness legislation was enacted in Illinois on July 1st.
