(Portland, OR) -- The Timbers are heading to the Western Conference Semifinal after a win over Minnesota! The Timbers defeated Minnesota United FC 3-1 in Portland in the first round of the playoffs. Sebastián Blanco scored two second half goals in the Timbers' win. Blanco scored in the 46th and 66th minutes and actually left the game briefly with an injury. Larrys Mabiala put Portland on the board with a goal in the 43rd minute. Portland goes on the road to play the top-seeded Colorado Rapids in the conference semifinal on Thanksgiving Day.
