Oregon Announces Coach Mario Cristobal's Departure

(Eugene, OR) -- University of Oregon head football coach Mario Cristobal is leaving to take the top job with the Miami Hurricanes. The university announced Cristobal's departure and added a nationwide search is underway for his replacement. Cristobal had a 35 and 13 overall record with the Ducks. Oregon won back-to-back Pac-12 championships, until losing to Utah on Friday. Cristobal played for the Hurricanes from 1989 to 1992 as an offensive lineman. Also, Oregon named Bryan McClendon as its interim head coach for the Alamo Bowl against Oklahoma.
