(Los Angeles, CA) -- The Dodgers are naming their first general manager since the end of the 2018 season. Los Angeles announced Tuesday that Brandon Gomes was promoted to general manager. Gomes becomes the 12th GM in team history after serving as the vice president and assistant GM for the past three seasons. Gomes is a former MLB pitcher and retired after the 2016 season. He fills the three-year vacancy left by Farhan Zaidi.
