Last night in high school playoff basketball action, the Trinity Lutheran boys advance to the class 1-a 'second round' with their 63-55 home playoff win over prairie city.

Now, Trinity Lutheran, 17-9, travels Friday night to take on #2 ranked Powder Valley who owns a 22-and-2 overall record. The winner advances to the 1A state tournament next week in Baker City.

The Trinity Lutheran girls await a 'to be named later' playoff opponent they could host Saturday.

 

Elsewhere last night, in the 5A ranks...the Redmond boys finished the regular season undefeated at 10-and-0 with its 61-46 win at Ridgeview. The Panthers will host a playoff game one week from Friday night.

On the girl’s side...the 6th ranked Lady Ravens of Ridgeview ran past Redmond, 56-20. Ridgeview will host a state playoff game one week from Saturday.

In 4A season ending action, both the Sisters’ boys and girls lost as Woodburn thumped the boys, 57-37, and the Lady Outlaws were nipped by one, 36-35.

Tonight, in the 6A division, the regular season comes to a close with the bend girls entertaining South Salem and win for the Lady Lava Bears would force a 2nd-place tie with the Saxons in the Mountain Valley Conference.

On the westside of town, Summit welcomes league-leading and 14th ranked west Salem.

The boy’s side has undefeated 21-and-0, and 2nd ranked Summit at West Salem, and Bend visiting South Salem.
