Report: MLB And MLBPA Hold Informal Meeting Amid Lockout

(New York, NY) -- Major League Baseball and the Players Association are talking for the first time since the sides failed to agree to a new collective bargaining agreement. ESPN reports the sides met Thursday for an hour and a half to continue talks amid the league's current lockout. It seemed like the lockout was nearing an end on Tuesday, before negotiations came to a halt. That resulted in MLB commissioner Rob Manfred canceling the first two series of the 2022 season for each team. There reportedly is no indication as to when talks will continue. The work stoppage first began on December 2nd.
