Let the madness begin, as march madness tips off with college men's basketball and the 'play-in' round, or the 'first-4' if you will.

Tonight, in Dayton, Ohio...Texas A&M Corpus Christi faces Texas Southern with the winner meeting #1 seed Kansas Thursday. The other play-in game sees Indiana battling Wyoming of the mountain west conference. The winner of the nightcap game plays St. Mary's Thursday in Portland.

There are two other play-in games set for tomorrow night and the winners will make up the field of 64-teams in the NCAA men's championship bracket. The women's 'first-4' play-in games tipoff tomorrow night.

Coming up Thursday, the Moda Center plays host to the 1st round of the men's west region with Boise state tangling with Memphis to kick the day off at 1045am, followed by top-rated Gonzaga playing Georgia State. The two survivors of these games meet Saturday in the 2nd round.

Later Thursday in Portland, at 420 in the afternoon, St. Mary's of the east bay area will play the winner of tonight's Indiana / Wyoming play-in game. The nightcap in the rose city Thursday features the UCLA Bruins meeting the Akron zips. The 4-winners Thursday pair up Saturday in the 2nd round with times to be determined later.

Elsewhere tonight, the men's nit tourney begins and the Oregon Ducks play at Utah state with tipoff here on kbnd set for 6pm. The game is also nationally televised on ESPN.

Two other pac-12 teams play tonight in the NIT, and at 8:00 p.m., Washington State hosts Santa Clara, and Colorado greets St. Bonaventure.

On the women's side, the NCAA tournament begins Friday, and the women's NIT tourney tips off Thursday, and as expected, Oregon State received an 'at-large' berth and will host Long Beach State at 7pm in the women's NIT. 

On Friday, the UCLA women host U-C Irvine, and the Portland lady Pilots entertain Colorado State.

The women's NCAA big dance starts Friday, and Saturday, and on Saturday, the Oregon women play Belmont in a 2:30pm tipoff in Knoxville, Tennessee.
