(North Port, FL) -- Matt Olson is getting a hefty payday with his new team. The Atlanta Braves announced Tuesday that they signed first baseman Matt Olson to an eight-year deal worth 168-million dollars. The contract also includes a 20-million dollar club option for the 2030 season. Atlanta acquired Olson from the Oakland A's on Monday for multiple prospects. The 27-year-old Olson hit .271 with 39 home runs and 111 RBI last season.
