On the prep diamond yesterday, just as soon as we announced Mt. View was undefeated in its first 6-games, the home team Redmond Panthers shocked and shutout the Cougars, 5-zip. 

Both teams just returned from a week of non-league games in Arizona, and it was just the 2nd win of the early season for Redmond who plays at Bend today with first pitch set for 4:30.

Elsewhere today, Ridgeview hosts Roosevelt of Portland. 3A La Pine steps up a level and entertains Skyline Conference and 4A perennial power Henley. North Lake travels to Burns, and Culver plays Santiam in Mill City.
