The top-seeded Gamecocks defeated the second-seeded UConn Huskies 64-49 in the national championship game in Minneapolis. Destanni Henderson scored a career-high 26 points to guide South Carolina to its second ever national title, with the other coming in 2017. The Gamecocks posted a wire-to-wire victory and led by as many as 18.
