Former Dodgers Outfielder Tommy Davis Dies At 83

(Undated) -- The Los Angeles Dodgers are announcing the death of a former player. The team released a statement Monday that former outfielder Tommy Davis has died at the age of 83. Davis signed with the Dodgers in 1956 and spent eight years with the franchise. During that time, he won three World Series titles and was named a two-time NL batting champion. Davis would go on to the play for nine more MLB teams and retired from baseball in 1976. The Dodgers planned to honor Davis with a moment of silence during Monday night's exhibition game at Dodger Stadium.
