(Undated) -- The Cardinals will have a familiar face in their Opening Day lineup. St. Louis manager Oliver Marmol announced Monday that Albert Pujols will serve as the team's designated hitter in Thursday's season opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Pujols will make his 22nd consecutive Opening Day start, which ties him for the second-longest streak in MLB history. The 42-year-old is one short of tying Pete Rose, who holds the record at 23 straight starts. Pujols last started an Opening Day with Cardinals back in 2011.
