(New Orleans, LA) -- Kansas is the 2022 NCAA Men's Basketball National Champions. The Jayhawks defeated North Carolina 72-69 in New Orleans. Kansas trailed by 16 points in the first half to complete the largest comeback in championship game history. Jalen Wilson and David McCormack each had 15 points for the Jayhawks. It's the first championship since 2008 for the program. UNC was denied its first title since 2017. The Tar Heels end the season 29-and-10.
