(Undated) -- The Lakers are being given permission by the Warriors to interview one of their assistant coaches. According to ESPN, Los Angeles will meet with Golden State assistant coach Kenny Atkinson for the franchise's head coaching job. Atkinson spent three-plus seasons as head coach of the Brooklyn Nets and is completing his first season as an assistant on Steve Kerr's staff. Atkinson has also emerged as a candidate in the Charlotte Hornets' search. The Lakers fired Frank Vogel after a 33-and-49 season left them out of the playoffs.
