THE BEND ELKSHAD A 3-GAME WINNING STREAK SNAPPED LAST NIGHT BY THE SPRINGFIELD DRIFTERS, LOSING 4-1. SPRINGFIELD SCORED A RUN IN EACH OF THE FIRST 4 INNINGS AGAINST BEND STARTER A.J LATTERLY. THE RIGHTHANDER STILL TOSSED 6 INNINGS AND FANNED 7 IN HIS FIRST START OF THE SEASON. THE ELKS SCORED THEIR LONE RUN IN THE BOTTOM OF THE 4TH WHEN RILEY KASPER SCORED ON A FIELDER'S CHOICE.

THE ELKS WILL TAKE A TRAVEL DAY TODAY BEFORE A TUESDAY DATE IN YAKIMA VALLEY TO PLAY THE PIPPINS. THEY’LL PLAY 4 GAMES IN 3 DAYS IN YAKIMA WITH THE DOUBLE HEADER COMING ON THURSDAY TO MAKE UP A JUNE 12TH GAME THAT WAS POSTPONED.
