(Washington, DC) -- Federal officials are investigating possible antitrust violations by the PGA Tour in relation to its newest golf rival. The Tour confirmed the news to the Wall Street Journal. The Department of Justice's antitrust division has reached out to players' agents. More than a dozen players, including household names like Phil Mickelson, were suspended for joining the Saudi-backed LIV Golf circuit. A PGA Tour spokesman said it dealt with another federal probe nearly 30 years ago and they expect to prevail again.
