At the AAA American Legion State baseball tournament the Medford Mustangs earned their 17th state championship with a 14-2 win over the Post 6 Barbers. The Mustangs will represent the state of Oregon at the Northwest Regional tournament in Gillette, Wyoming. That tournament begins on August 3rd, and the American Legion World Series begins on the 11th in Shelby North Carolina.

The Single-A, the Redmond American Legion ball club earned a state title after beating the Ole Athletics of Eugene last weekend. They are headed to the class A Northwest Regional in Utah.
