Bend Elks Fall 5-4 to Corvallis. Losers of 4 Straight

The Bend Elks lost to the Corvallis Knights yesterday 5-4. Bend led the contest in the 7th inning but a wild pitch followed by a single allowed the red hot Knights to take a one-run advantage that they held for the rest of the game. Corvallis has won 16 straight, and this extends the Elks losing streak to four games.

Bend is still a game up on Yakima for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Southern Division after the Pippins fell 8-3 to Wenatchee. The Elks wrap up the series with Corvallis tonight at 6:35 before heading home for the final three games of the regular season.

Tomorrow night the Elks host Cowlitz at Vince Genna Stadium. Get ticket and promotional information at https://www.bendelks.com/. The WCL playoffs begin on August 9th.
