Bend Elks Snap the Streak; Shutout Knights 3-0

The Bend Elks got back in the win collum last night after shutting out Corvallis 3-0. This ends a four-game skid for the Elks and snapped a 16-game winning streak for the Knights.

The Elks finished with three runs, four hits, and no errors while leaving just six runners aboard. Corvallis had no runs on five hits with one error and stranded seven. The game was scoreless going into the top of the eighth when Christian Cooney hit an RBI triple and scored on an error to put Bend ahead, and they never looked back.

The Elks return home tonight for the final three games of the regular season. The Elks still hold a game advantage over Yakima for the final playoff spot in the South Division, and they host the Cowlitz Black Bears tonight at 6:35.
