The Redmond Sunwest Builders Single-A American Legion baseball team fell to Minico, Idaho 12-2 in the Northwest Regional semifinal. Redmond finished tournament play with a 2-2 record and placed 4th in the northwest region.

The Bend North little league team is 1-1 in Northwest Regional tournament play thus far after falling 10-1 to the Washington state champs but beating Alaska 12-2 on Sunday. Today is an off-day for the little leaguers before playing an elimination game with Idaho tomorrow. The winner of that contest will meet Washington in the Regional Final on Thursday.
