Linebacker Shaquem Griffin Announces Retirement

Shaquem Griffin is announcing his retirement from the NFL.  The former Seahawks linebacker announced his decision with an article in The Players' Tribune on Wednesday.  Griffin was called "a true inspiration" by the NFL after he became the first player with one hand to be drafted in the league's modern era.  The 27-year-old was selected in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft and went on to play 46 games with Seattle.  Griffin was waived in 2020 by the Seahawks after totaling 25 tackles and one sack over three seasons.
