The A's are parting ways with one of their pitchers. Oakland traded left-hander Cole Irvin to the Orioles on Thursday. Irvin joined the A's after being acquired from the Phillies for 100-thousand-dollars. The soon-to-be 29-year-old has a 4.11 earned run average in 359 and a third innings over the past two seasons. The Orioles also received right-hander Kyle Virbitsky. In return, Oakland is receiving 21-year-old infielder Darell Hernaiz.
