Nuggets 2-1 Lead, Seahawks Minicamp, Elks Win Series

NBA:
Finals Game 3 in Miami. The Nuggets held off The Heat to wrestle home court advantage back and take a 2-1 series lead. Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray both had 30 point triple doubles for Denver. That’s the first time that’s ever happened in NBA history. For Jokic it was the NBA Finals’ first 30 point 20 rebound 10 assist triple double finishing with 32 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists. Murray had 34, 10, and 10…  Game 4 is Friday
 
NHL:
Stanley Cup Final - The Golden Knights have a 2-0 lead on the Florida Panthers. Game 3 is in Miami today starting at 5.
 
Football: 
The Seattle Seahawks finish a mandatory minicamp today. Yesterday and Tuesday showed familiarity on offense with Geno Smith and the receiving corps, but there is room for who steps up at running back and the offensive line. There are questions on defense but bulked up Safety Jamal Adams could help out a young linebacker crew. The Seahawk first round draft picks are recovering from injuries but participating where they can. Only 2 of Seattle’s 10 draft picks remain unsigned.
 
MLB: 
San Francisco came back after being down early to beat Colorado. The Giants try to sweep the Rockies this afternoon at 12:10 then head back to Oracle Park for a weekend series against the Cubs starting tomorrow.
The Mariners split the 2 game series as they lost 10 - 3 to San Diego yesterday.  Seattle is off today but stays in Southern California where they’ll face Shohei Ohtani and the Angels for a weekend series starting tomorrow.
 
College Baseball: 
Oregon State pitcher Ben Ferrer and infielder Travis Bazzana have been named Academic All-Americans.
The Oregon Ducks start their NCAA Super Regional best of 3 series at PK Park tomorrow against Oral Roberts. First pitch is at 5.
 
Soccer: 
The Portland Thorns are in Orlando Sunday afternoon.
The Portland Timbers are just out of playoff contention but are coming off a scoreless draw with Seattle and will look to build momentum against 4th place Dallas Sunday night.
 
Local:
The Bend Elks beat Port Angeles 7 to 3 last night to win the series against the Lefties. The Elks pick up their 2nd win, and first series of the new season. They head out on the road to face Yakima Valley for a weekend series starting Friday.
