Beavers, Ducks Expected To Get Drafted Tonight.

MLB:

The Giants fell to the Mets yesterday, losing 8 to 2.  San Francisco wins the series but sits at 12 and 14 in the NL West 2 and a half games out of first. The Pittsburgh Pirates are up next. That series starts tomorrow.

The Mariners lost 5 to 1 to Texas yesterday. That means Seattle falls a half game behind the Rangers for the AL West lead.  If there’s an important game in late April, this is it. The Rubber match is coming up this morning. First pitch is at 11:35.

NFL:

The Seattle Seahawks could be taking an offensive lineman with their first pick in tonight’s Draft. The Seahawks have the 16th overall pick.

San Francisco picks 31st if they don’t trade the pick. They are expected to select a wide receiver or maybe two with one of their 5 early round picks.

Oregon State Offensive Lineman Taliesa Fuaga is expected to be one of the first tackles taken. He’s among three Beavers who could get selected through the course of the draft.

Oregon Center Jackson Powers-Johnson and Wide Receiver Troy Franklin could also have their names called tonight. Six Ducks could be selected in one of the seven rounds which go through Saturday. The first pick will be chosen just after 5 pm.

College Football:

Oregon holds their final April practice this week. The Spring Game is Saturday at Autzen Stadium. We’ll have the game here on KBND.
